Lagos State House of Assembly Majority Leader, Hon Sanai Agunbiade, Rasheed Fatuga, Founder of Ikorodu Ambassador, Comrade Kehinde Okeowo, Oloye Oye Solebo and three others were honoured for their Outstanding Performances for the Ikorodu Division in 2016 over the weekend by Starlight Magazine.
While SOB as he is fondly called was voted as “The Ikorodu Man of the Year 2016”, Rasheed Fatuga for his exemplary service to community through the Ikorodu Ambassador platform he founded was awarded the Community Developer. Also honoured was Comrade Kehinde Okeowo as Most Outstanding Community Advocate.
The award ceremony which took place at the Ikorodu Town Hall which was filled to capacity on Sunday, February 25, 2017.
The Publisher of Starlight magazine, Mr Damola Aderibigbe in his speech acknowledged that the award is designed to honour exemplary service to the people.
Former Commissioner for Agriculture in Lagos State and Chairman of the Occasion, Asipa Kaoli Olusanya praised the Ikorodu Man of the Year, for his relentless efforts for Youth Development in the local government.
Speaking after the Chairman, former Chairman of Nigerian bar Association Ikorodu Chapter, Barr S.O.K Shilling also stated the performance of the amiable lawmaker to have been reflection of his name. Noting that he has been exhibiting same qualities from his tender age.
Top dignitaries that graced the occasion included the His Royal Majesty, Oba Kabir Shotobi, the Ayangburen of Ikorodu (he was represented by Otunba Ayodele Elesho); Oba Richard Ogunsanya, the Olubeshe of Ibeshe; Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, the Regent of Ijede, among other top invited guests.
Others were Prince Oyebola, Arch. Lamidi Kara, Alh. Enifeni, Sole Administrators in Ikorodu division, Party Chairmen, League of Baales in Ikorodu, iCARE Team, Onward Movement of Nigeria, among others.
