Lagos LG polls: 109-year-old woman casts vote

Voting has commenced in several polling units across the 20 local government and 37 local council development areas in Lagos State as Lagosians elect Chairmen and Councillors, BlackBox Nigeria reports.

Recall the Lagos State Government announced the restriction of movement in the state between 08:00 am and 03:00 pm on election day, Saturday.

In a surprising development, a 109-year-old woman was seen earlier today at the polling unit in Local Government Primary School, Isiwu in the Ikorodu area of the state, where she exercised her franchise.

The centenarian was identified as Chief Mrs Eunice Liadi Olowoepejo Raji, the Iya Ijo of Anglican Church, Isiwu.
