Lagos APC inaugurates committee for National Assembly, guber, State Assembly primaries

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State has set up a committee to oversee the National Assembly, governorship and State House of Assembly primaries ahead of the 2023 polls.

The Lagos APC Chairman, Hon. Cornelius Ojelabi officially inaugurated the committee at the party’s secretariat in Acme, Ikeja, on Monday.

“On behalf of all of us, I have the honour to inaugurate both the Governorship, the House of Assembly and the National Assembly primaries committee for 2022 and I wish you well, you are free to act where necessary. Let’s put everything at our disposal to make this happen,” Ojelabi said.

The committee is to be headed by the APC South-West Zonal Organising Secretary, Hon. Lateef Ibirogba.

Other members of the committee include Hon. Olayinka Oladunjoye, Rt. Hon. Bola Badmus Olujobi, Rt. AIG Hakeem Odumosu, Engr. Gbolahan Idris, Dr. Oluremi Shopeyin, Dr. Murtala Seriki, Mr. Adebayo Sanwo-Olu, and Barr. Sodiq Ademola.

Following the recent adjustment in the APC timetable, the governorship and House of Representatives primaries will hold on Thursday, May 26, while Senate and House of Assembly are slated for Friday, May, 27.
