The Kweme Kingdom in Badagry Division of Lagos State has congratulated Hon. Damilola Sonayon James following her emergence as a Deputy Governorship candidate under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a congratulatory message signed by the Aholu Henwa of Kweme Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Olalekan Sejiro James, JP, Okiki Arolagbade II, the kingdom described Sonayon James’ emergence as a recognition of her dedication, hard work, loyalty and commitment to public service.
The royal father, speaking on behalf of the royal family, chiefs, elders, youths, women and residents of Kweme Kingdom, said her selection has brought pride to the kingdom, Badagry Division and Lagos State.
“This recognition is a testament to her dedication, hard work, loyalty, competence and unwavering commitment to public service,” the statement read.
The kingdom also expressed appreciation to the leadership of the APC and other stakeholders for finding Sonayon James worthy of the responsibility, noting that the confidence reposed in her capacity to serve is well deserved.
Oba James further prayed for wisdom, strength, good health and divine guidance for the aspirant as she pursues her political ambition, expressing hope that her leadership would contribute to greater development, unity and prosperity in Lagos State.
The monarch also reaffirmed the kingdom’s support and goodwill towards Sonayon James, wishing her success in her political journey.
