The lawmaker representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Babajimi Benson has flagged off his re-election campaign for the forthcoming 2023 election, tagged the Orange Revolution.
Indigenes and residents of Ikorodu in the eastern part of Lagos as well as members of his party, the All Progressives Congress, trooped out in their numbers to grace the event held on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at the Ikorodu Ferry Terminal.
The venue was filled to the brim as political officeholders and stakeholders of the party were present in solidarity with the outstanding lawmaker.
The teeming crowd went agog when veteran Fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde popularly known as K1 De Ultimate stormed the venue and made the audience sing along while he performed on the stage.
In the last eight years, Benson, who is currently the Chairman House of Representatives Committee on Defence, has represented the people of Ikorodu Federal Constituency with a long list of achievements to his credit.
As part of his record, the rep member who championed the rehabilitation of Ikorodu-Sagamu road, has facilitated the construction of over 32 roads in Ikorodu Federal Constituency, the construction of 1 mini-stadium, 4,000 solar street lights, 36,500 foodbags distribution, renovation and construction of school buildings, 80-bed hospital, 10 transformers, amongst others.
