The coronation of Britain’s successor, King Charles III will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023.
A statement by the Royal Family on Tuesday reads; “Buckingham Palace is pleased to announce that the Coronation of His Majesty The King will take place on Saturday 6th May 2023.”
The Coronation Ceremony will take place at Westminster Abbey, London, and will be conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury as the Ceremony will see His Majesty, King Charles III crowned alongside the Queen Consort.
Also, the Coronation will reflect the monarch’s role and look towards the future while being rooted in long-standing traditions and pageantry.
Meanwhile, the ceremony is set to follow the traditional pageantry used for anointing monarchs over the last 1,000 years, as Charles emerges as the 41st monarch in a line that traces its origins back to William, and he will be the oldest monarch to be crowned.
