The Kastina Police Operatives have arrested one Amadu Yusuf, 30, a suspected kidnapper and bandit, Blackbox Nigeria gathered.
The Police Operatives also rescued 14 kidnapped victims, recovered 30 cows and 60 sheeps in the Dustinma area of Kastina state.
The suspect, along side other arrestees, were captured during a ‘Puff Adder Operation’, led by DPO Dutsinma, CSP Muhammad Makama.
The states police operatives had learnt that bandits, numbering about forty, on motorcycles, armed with AK47 rifles, attacked a village, kidnapping 14 women and children, and rustled domestic animals.
The team thereon chased the bandits into fringes of Rugu forest and engaged them in a gun duel, as the police operatives succeeded, thereon leading to the rescue of the hostages.
