With less than two weeks to the deadline of the ongoing continuous voter registration (CVR) exercise, Kano State holds the top spot with the highest number of completed registrations for the permanent voter cards (PVCs).
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) made this known in its weekly update of completed online and in-person (physical) registration statistics by states, released on Monday.
According to the electoral umpire, a total of 458,559 voters have completed their registration so far in Kano as at 7am on Monday, July 18.
Delta State placed second with a total of 451,581 completed registrations, followed closely by Lagos State with 451,156.
Others with large numbers include Rivers — 411,509, Bayelsa — 400,997, Kaduna — 377,488 and Osun — 362,609.
Ekiti has the lowest number with 124,844 completed registrations.
INEC also disclosed that the figure of completed registrations across the 36 states of the federation and the FCT stood at 10,139,247.
