By Just In: LASU Don, Prof Omikorede Dies In Lagos Hospital
The Lagos State University community has been thrown into mourning following the death of one of it’s Don, Professor Oluwole Omikorede, who was until his death the Dean of Sciences.
Àccording to the statement issued by Mr Ademola Adekoya, the Acting Director of the institution’s information unit, Professor Omikorede was still at work on Wednesday, November 1st before he died later at night at Igando General Hospital where he was rushed to for treatment.
The statement reads in part, “Prof Omikorede was his vibrant and lively self all through the day, attending to his official assignments and being involved in various meetings in the University up until yesterday evening, before his sudden death.”
The University Management described the news of his death as “very shocking” and “a monumental loss to the University community.”
“May God grant the departed eternal rest and his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss,” he said.
