By Sumbo Ajose, Treasurer of the Caretaker Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, has died at the age of 55.
The woman politician died in the United States of America (USA) on Tuesday night, according to reports.
She had been ill for some time and was receiving treatment at the time of her death, BlackBox Nigeria learnt.
Meanwhile Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has expressed sadness over the development, saying Ajose’s passing was a big loss to her family, friends, associates and the ruling party.
The governor, in a statement issued on Wednesday by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Gboyega Akosile, described the late party treasurer as trustworthy, committed, extremely loyal politician and an invaluable asset to Lagos APC.
