A Lagos-based community journalist, Shakiru Seidu has called out the state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu over the alleged illegal demolition of over 150 houses in Oke-Ira community, Igbogbo in the Ikorodu area of Lagos.
Seidu, who is the Publisher of MegaExpression Magazine, alleged that the demolition took place in the area on Tuesday, May 31, without a court order.
The journalist made this known in a Facebook post, revealing that his newly completed duplex was also demolished.
He further alleged that the governor gave the demolition directive despite the prompt intervention of two prominent monarchs in Ikorodu, the Ayangbure of Ikorodu and Adeboruwa of Igbogbo; Lagos East Senator, Tokunbo Abiru; lawmaker representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Babajimi Benson; Lagos lawmaker for Ikorodu Constituency II, Nurudeen Saka Solaja; the Chairman of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Builder Sesan Daini.
