By The Speaker of Nigeria’s House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila has attested to the sterling achievements of the lawmaker representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency in the National Assembly and Chairman of the House Committee on Defence, Rep. Babajimi Benson.
Speaking on Friday during the commissioning of road projects facilitated by the lawmaker, Gbajabiamila congratulated the people of Ikorodu for having Benson as their representative in the Green Chamber.
The Speaker couldn’t hold back his fulfilment at the performance of the Ikorodu-born Reps member who he described as deserving of another term.
Gbajabiamila said, “Jimi Benson is still on duty” amid loud cheers of affirmation from ecstatic residents and party faithfuls.
The event had in attendance traditional rulers led by the paramount ruler of the Ikorodu division, the Ayangburen of Ikorodu Kingdom, Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi, APC Lagos State Chairman-Elect, party leaders, officials of the Lagos State Government, community stakeholders and leaders and residents.
The facilitated road projects included the construction of 5 link roads in the Sabo area of Ikorodu, as well as 3 other link roads with solar-powered street lights.
