By Iyabo Ojo Opens Up About Being Sexually Assaulted Five Times, Vows to Confront Rape Defenders
Veteran Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has shared a deeply personal and heartbreaking revelation, disclosing that she has been sexually assaulted five times throughout her life.
The actress made this emotional confession during an interview with Biola Bayo on her talk show, Talk to B, where she discussed her experiences and her firm stance against sexual violence.
In a snippet released ahead of the full interview, Ojo expressed her zero-tolerance policy on rape and her frustration with those who defend rapists, known as rape apologists.
She revealed that, over time, she had come to realize how pervasive such views are, and how much damage they cause to survivors.
“I was raped five times in my life,” Ojo shared, adding, “I discovered we have a lot of rape apologists.” She made it clear that no one would be exempt from accountability, stating, “I don’t care who the person is; if that person is my son, I am going to come for him unapologetically.”
