By A group of progressives in Isolo Local Council Development Area of Lagos State under the auspices of Isolo Youth Coalition have debunked the news going around that Lagos State Chairman of National Union of Road Transport Work (NURTW), Alhaji Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya (MC Oluomo) has endorsed one Bayo Olasoju, who is not a popular aspirant in the Isolo LCDA chairmanship contest scheduled for next week by the ruling All Progressives Congress.
Speaking to BlackBox Nigeria, one of the leaders of the group, Akeem Adebayo, said though MC is a major stakeholder in Isolo, at the meeting held earlier today with NURTW members, he did not mention his support for any candidate, rather, he told all of the members to support their respective candidates and ensure a peaceful context.
“The event is on Facebook live, no need to force any fake endorsements, there was no where in the live video that MC Oluomo endorsed anybody, those carrying the rumours are only mischievous and afraid that their popularity can not take them anywhere. The people of Isolo will kick against any element of imposition or intimidation of the people of Isolo as far as the APC primaries is concerned,” he said.
The group leader went further to state that Honourable Hakeem Abiodun Muniru, who is also a candidate under APC have better chances at the primaries than the person Wasiu Ayinde is trying to impose on the people.
