A frontline candidate in the scheduled All Progressives Congress primaries, Hon. Akeem Muniru in Isolo Local Council Development Area, has disclaimed the news making rounds that some persons loyal to him vandalised the palace of the Osolo of Isolo, Oba Kabiru Adelaja, stating that he holds the royal stool in high esteem being from a royal family himself.

A true son of the soil, Hon. Muniru belongs to three Royal houses in Isolo/Okota area of Lagos State; Okota Ruling house, Olushi Onigbesa Ruling house and the Alagbeji Ruling house.

In a statement made available to BlackBox Nigeria, the media team stated that the incident said to have happened at Akinbaiye Ward F1 yesterday does not have anything to do with their principal or anybody connected to him.

The statement reads in part,” Our attention has been drawn to an allegation, posted on social media as regards a false claim of disruption and vandalism at Akinbaiye Ward F1 today.

“The falsehood being peddled is that the followers of Hon. Akeem Muniru, a responsible citizen aspiring for the Chairmanship office of Isolo LCDA, were responsible for the alleged mayhem.

“We hereby condemn these unfounded allegations in strong terms, as they’re baseless and blatant lies.”

It reads further that “Hon. Akeem Muniru is known and well respected for his civility, law-abiding attributes and so are his followers and well-wishers.

“ He is an experience, tested politician who knows power belongs to the people and violence has never been a choice for him.

We advise all well-meaning citizens to disregard this allegation.
This is nothing but an attempt to malign his reputable character to distract the teeming populace who have daily shown their love and support for his candidacy.

Again, please disregard this falsehood, it’s nothing but an attempt to create rancour and bi malign the person of Hon. Akeem Muniru.”
