Javier Tebas, the President of La Liga has revealed that the imminent exit of Portuguese international, Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid is an irreparable loss to the League.
In a statement he issued on the tax related offence of the star player, he disclosed that he was certain he is not guilty as accused.
It will be recalled that news have been rife lately after the development of tax fraud allegations hit the 32 years old player.
With the likes of his former club, Manchester United and Paris Saint Germain looking forward to sign him, it is not certain if he won’t be leaving the Santiago Bernabeau outfit this summer.
“You can’t measure it, but it would be huge, and more so on the international growth of La Liga, it would be a massive loss for us; an irreparable loss,” Tebas said.
“‘Knowing those around him, and how professional they are, I’m positive that Cristiano is innocent.
“We live at a time when any news about Spain’s Tax Office means everyone is a fraudster. I’m sure he’s innocent. From what I’ve read, I’m sure he hasn’t committed any crime.’
