Director of IPC, Mr Lanre Arogundade in his reaction stated that the action of the political thugs was by all standard not acceptable as other means should have been soughted instead of ventilating their grievances within the structure of their political party which the NUJ Press Centre was not one.

He said, “The Press Unions exist to uphold the tenets of freedom of speech and freedom of expression, instead of the aggrieved members taking laws into its hands and unleashing attacks on the journalists, they should avail themselves of the opportunity provided for right of reply in the media.”

He also added that the Kaduna State Police Command to urgently investigate the matter and ensure the eventual arrest and prosecution of the culprits.
