By Inspector General Of Police Securing Himself Not The Populace – TV Host Kicks
One of the co-host of Your View on TVC, Ms Jumoke Alawode-James has accused the Inspector General of Police, Mr Ibrahim Idris of deploying too many personnel to himself while the citizens can’t get enough officers to safeguard them.
Jumoke was reacting to the huge presence of Police officers witnessed in Lagos State on Thursday as the IGP was on a two-day visit to the State.
She stated that all the areas the IGP visited had too many security officers that could have been deployed to secure schools in order to prevent kidnap of both students and staff. She said it was unnecessary for Idris to have too many officers working for him alone when the Nigeria Police Force keep lamenting on the number of officers available to provide security for the nation.
IGP Idris on arrival in the Centre of Excellence was at the Lagos House, Alausa where he was welcomed by the Governor Akinwunmi Oladapo Ambode and some top government officials.
