I’m Still The Leader of Afenifere, We Endorsed Bola Tinubu Not Obi – Pa Fasorant

Pa Reuben Fasoranti has insisted that he’s still the leader of Yoruba socio-cultural group, Afenifere, saying Pa Adebanjo who many considered as his successor lacked the capacity to warn him not to recommend Bola Tinubu, the All Progressive Congress presidential candidate.
Pa Fasoranti, who said he remained the Leader of Afenifere, said the organisation never endorsed candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi.
This came after Adebanjo on Monday claimed he had warned Fasonranti not to get involve in the endorsement of Tinubu as the candidate that Afenifere will support.
In a viral video seen by BLACKBOXNIGERIA, the 97-year-old Fasoranti displayed his sound intellectual alertness about activities in Afenifere.
He said: “I am still the leader of Afenifere. Afenifere has not recommended Obi, we are endorsing Jagaban (Bola Ahmed Tinubu) for the presidency.
“As you can see, the trend, the approval and the acceptability. You could see what happened when Tinubu came to meet me in Akure. Media carried the whole thing.
“Adebanjo does not have the potential to warn me not to welcome Tinubu. Can he do that successfully?”
Fasoranti added: “What happened was that Adebanjo took a stand and I took a stand. I didn’t call him and he didn’t call me. We never spoke about the visit.”
