Nigeria National league outfit, Ikorodu United have rolled back the year by Reappointing Maurice Coorman as the man to deliver the Promotion ticket once again. The Belgian Tactician guided the Oga boys to their first ever taste of premier league action in 2015.
The Lagos based outfit will be hoping the legendary 76 years old handler delivers the good as he did in his inaugural season with the Oga boys, when he landed the NPFL ticket in the team’s first year in football reckoning.
The iconic gaffer had this to say on his confirmation “I am delighted to be at the place am well loved. My task is to take the club back to NPFL were it belongs. There is no room for laziness, am here to do my job”
Further more, “We have to work hard to replace departed players with credible players”.
According the club’s Media officer, Mr Babatunde Ayoola, players and coaches are expected to resume back for the season’s NNL campaign on the 4th of January, 2017.
It is also worthy of that Coorman left Ikorodu United to join free spending Akwa United in 2016 but the honeymoon didn’t last for long as the manager was suspended and subsequently sacked after he allegedly fell out with the management of the football club.
