People of Ikorodu Division! We can’t continue to murder, slaughter and burn people all in the name of taking revenge or trying to curb Badoo Gang members.
This discomfiture act is a pointer that there is an imminent danger hovering around the future of Ikorodu, Lagos and by extension, Nigeria. We shouldn’t fold our hands and watch our society degenerate into abuse of Human Right, intolerance to one another and the distasteful practice of vulgarity.

Demonstration of Jungle Justice is an act of madness, and in all honesty, we are in dire need of re-orientation. Darkness cannot wipe out darkness! An eye for an eye will make all of us go blind.
Ikorodu Division is not a jungle and I must admit that killing of people extra-judicially is unacceptable. Therefore, I’m writing this to appeal to the citizens of Ikorodu Division to desist from mob lynching as many innocents souls have been killed on account of this.
Jungle Justice: Suspected Kidnapper Captured And Burnt In Ikorodu
Never again should we watch our people be hacked to death by Machiavellian objectives. I’m not an advocate of criminality neither am I defending felons, but in one voice, lets say “No to Jungle Justice”.
How long shall we continue to abuse ourselves? We must sanitise Ikorodu Division for the unborn generation.
“Eni ba lo mo” (it is he/she who has been affected that knows the severity of damage), but we have to protect ourselves and this great division, Ikorodu. Unconsciously, Jungle Justice had taken the space of Badoo Cult devilish acts. Let’s learn to be lawful.
THE KINGS IN IKORODU DIVISION:
This Badoo Cult started attacks on Families in Ibeshe Town of Ikorodu Division. Their acts ought to have been checkmated within but other kings chose to be silent because the Victims and Areas under attack were not in their jurisdictions. The kings showed little or no concern to the act. Now it has left its place of origin, and more idle-minded fellows had been recruited perpetrating this devilish act in every part of the town.
Get A Valid ID Card Or Get Arrested, Police Warns Ikorodu Residents
While we hope the Security Agencies do their work, we should not forget that most towns in Ikorodu Division are indigenous towns.
It will be a better option if our Heritage and Traditions are consulted.
Even when we see the responses of our kings to be on the low side, I still can’t support nor advocate for jungle justice.
STATE GOVERNMENT & THE SECURITY AGENCIES
The State Government is not showing much commitment to Ikorodu Division as compared to other Divisions in Lagos state.
One must tell Mr Akinwunmi Ambode, Executive Governor of Lagos State, that his response and that of Security Agencies calls for concerns, in fact Gov. Ambode’s reaction when insecurity issues/scenario escalate in Ikorodu is not always encouraging and knowing the security of lives and properties is one of the major assignment of the No. 1 Citizen of Lagos State, it becomes more worrisome.
We still believe that our Internal Constituted Authority are not doing enough to salvage our current situation. I strongly condemned the attitudinal expression displayed by our Law Enforcement Agents and the Security Operatives not to have been able to prosecute just ‘one’ of the this Badoo Gang or their sponsor.
This is a medium to speak my mind, while I hope it serve its purpose. Please, I am a proud indigene of Ikorodu Division.
Leaving residents to their own safety led to this present act of residents in Ikorodu Division. Come to our aid!
