By How Ikorodu Stood Still For Royal Wedding Of Ijede Vice Chairman, Motunrayo Gbadebo
It was glitz and glamour on Sunday, July 8th as the entire bigwigs in Ikorodu all thronged the magnificent Musical Village Event Center to honour Otunba Wasiu and Yeye Fausat Gbadebo as they give out the hand of their daughter, Miss Motunrayo Adijat in marriage to her heartthrob, Mr Abdulazeem Alogba.
It will be recalled that Miss Motunrayo, who is the Vice Chairman of Ijede LCDA in Ikorodu got a surprise proposal from her fiancee last December. An insider, who is close to the new bride disclosed that the love birds have managed to keep their affairs from the public, until the proposal, which signalled the wedding bells.

The paramount ruler of Ikorodu, HRH Oba Kabiru Shotobi, in company of his Olori led other traditional rulers to the colourful wedding. In the traditional entourage were, Oba Abdulsemiu Orimadegun Kasali, Adeboruwa of Igbogbo and Olori Kafayat Kasali; Oba Mudashiru Ajibade Agoro, Ranodu of Imota; Oba AbdulAkeem Adeoriyomi Oyebo, Obateru of Egbin Kingdom and his Olori; Oba Richard Ogunsanya, Olubeshe of Ibeshe; Oba Ashimiyu Atanda Otta, Elegbe of Egbe kingdom; High Chiefs and also league of Baales from the Ikorodu Division.
The creme de la creme of Ikorodu were fully represented at the event as they were all present in person; they include Senator Gbenga Ashafa, Hon Babajimi Benson, Hon Sanai Agunbiade, Hon Nurudeen Solaja, Hon Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, Princess Adenrele Ogunsanya, Asipa Kaoli Olusanya, Dr Wale Hameed, Hon Mrs Jumoke Okoya-Thomas, Hon. Tayo Sanyaolu, Alhaji Bashir Adekoya and other top personalities invited.
