Ikorodu leaders call for youths engagement in politics, declare support for Tinubu

A cross-section of Ikorodu political leaders have called for youths engagement in politics while declaring their support for the All Progressive Congress’ (APC) Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu yesterday at Ita-Elewa youth centre .

Speaking at the recently concluded Townhall Declaration of Ikorodu Division Youth Leaders for the Progressives, the political leaders, comprising of Member of the House Representatives, Hon. Babajimi Benson, Asipa Kaoli Olusanya, Ijede LCDA Chairman Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, and Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA Chairman, Bldr. Sesan Daini, urged Ikorodu youths to actively engage themselves in political affairs necessary to foster development in Ikorodu.

While delivering the welcome address, Bldr. Sesan Daini described the All Progressive Congress as a party that believes in the ideology of free education, free health care, and other infrastructural developments.

The event’s chief host stressed on the need to support the All Progressive Congress for a better tomorrow and a better Nigeria.

On his part, the Keynote speaker for the day, Asipa Kaoli Olusanya charged the youths to key into government processes and policies and see what they can contribute to it.

He urged the youths to deliver their polling units for the ruling party, stressing that the party’s candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has what it takes in terms of political ideology to make Nigeria progressive.

Similarly, Hon. Babajimi Benson cited the continuation of development in Ikorodu as more reason to vote for the ruling party while Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba said she is confident in the youths readiness to deliver their polling unit for the progressive party and all APC representatives.

The event tagged, “Delivering your Polling Units Strategically”, was hosted by Eniola Adeyemi and convened by Lekan Biliamin Oba.
