By Here is a good news for all Ikorodu residents as their yearnings for solution for the gridlock they are currently facing at the Ikorodu roundabout is about to become history.
According to Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba, the popular round-about is about to get a flyover which is aimed at decongesting traffic being witnessed by road users in the environs.
She made this known while answering to questions at the interactive session held with party stakeholders and constituents.
Princess Folashade, the Chairmanship aspirant under ruling All Progressives Congress for Ikorodu Local Government Area disclosed that there are plans in place already to build more road networks, including a flyover which will link the Sabo area to the roundabout.
She revealed that she is a member of the State Government project to provide accessible roads in all community, a duty that has since widened her knowledge of what and how to carry out such projects which will be beneficial for all the constituents.
The aspirant also responded to a question which called for a concern by regular tax payers as regards to the planned increase in Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) and it’s negative impact on the constituents.
She responded by stating that they are no immediate plans to increase taxes currently being paid by artisans and traders in the community, but rather, there are plans to diversify energy to other sectors so as to create enabling environment for both established firms and upcoming ones to have their companies running properly in Ikorodu.
She further disclosed that her administration will boost the team spirit of every community members so as to boost the deliverables of the community in the long run.
