IKODASS Chairman Congratulates Master Ogbonna Micheal, 3rd Place Winner Of Lagos Scrabble Competition

The Chairman of the Ikorodu – Oga Development Association (IKODASS), Mr Rotimi Erogbogbo, has congratulated Master Micheal Ogbonna, a student of the Ikorodu Senior Grammar School, who emerged the third place winner in the just concluded U-15 Scrabble tournament.

The tournament was organised by the Lagos State Scrabble and Monopoly Association and was held at the Press Centre of the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos.

Erogbogbo wrote,”I congratulate Master Micheal Ogbonna for the feat achieved at the state competition where he emerged as the third best in the state.

“I am sure that he can do better if engaged in adequate training and competitions.

That’s the gap that IKODASS is trying to bridge by staging annual tournament for some indoor games to provide youths in Ikorodu competitive opportunities.

This year’s edition is coming up next month and we want parents, guardians, coaches, game masters and others to encourage their children and wards to participate.

With the participation of Michael in the state tournament and his emergence as the third best, it is expected that other young ones, especially his peers, will be encouraged to engage in scrabble and other games.

These are games that challenges their intellects. It makes them think and also have ways of positively impacting on their academics and growth.

I hope to see him (Michael) participating in the coming IKODASS Indoor Games Youth Championship. ”
