Ijede LCDA Chairman Fulfils Promise, Begins Construction Of New Model Primary School

In a resounding fulfillment of her campaign promises, Council Chairman Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba of Ijede LCDA welcomed esteemed stakeholders to the momentous groundbreaking ceremony of the Igbe Ogunro Community Model Primary School in Ijede.

Addressing a pressing need in the education sector, the chairman highlighted her commitment to upgrade existing classrooms and construct new ones to accommodate the burgeoning population demands.

The event, which held in the heart of Igbe Ogunro, resonated with the purpose of making quality education accessible to the community’s children.

“This is one of the challenges we are gathered here today to address,” emphasized Gbadebo-Alogba, as the foundation for the new classrooms was laid.

Mr. Afolabi Amusa, the Education Secretary of Ikorodu LGEA, expressed his satisfaction with this transformative development happening during his tenure.

He mentioned having numerous meetings and applying pressure on the chairman and the Alayeluwa of Egbin Kingdom, underlining the importance of such a project for the community.

Representing the people of Igbe, the joint Bale of the community expressed sincere gratitude to the Motunrayo-led administration for realizing this significant project.

Demonstrating a strong commitment to collaboration, the community pledged to provide land space within their capacity for future beneficial endeavors.

Hon. Hassan Adefarasin, a former legislator of the Lagos State House of Assembly and Council chairman, lauded Gbadebo-Alogba for her laudable efforts in spearheading this project.

He was instrumental in convincing the High Chiefs of the community to contribute land space, enabling the overall development of the community.

The ceremony was graced by other notable dignitaries, including the Council Vice-chairman, Hon. Kabir Femi Kareem, the Leader of the Legislative arm, Hon. Fadeyi Kehinde, the Baba Oba of Egbin Kingdom, Chief Jamiu Adisa Quadri (Baba Golden J), the Council Engineer, Eng. Jegede, and the Council Treasurer, Mr. Sodiq Mabeeko, among others.

This collective support exemplified the significance of community collaboration for the betterment of all.

This event therefore marked a significant step towards improving education in Igbe Ogunro, with the chairman’s unwavering dedication driving positive change and promising a brighter future for the community’s children.
