Ijede LCDA Chair, Gbadebo-Alogba, Illuminates Community Streets with Solar-Powered Light Poles

In a proactive move to enhance community safety and infrastructure, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, the Executive Chairman of Ijede Local Council Development Areas, LCDA, has light-up community streets with solar-powered light poles.

In a statement signed by the LCDA Chief Press Secretary, Gbolahan Omotosho Rafiu, the project started on Saturday, March 2nd, 2024.

According to the release, the placement of light poles across the LCDA’s internal streets spanned from Ipakan community, Baale Street towards Ebute-Olowo; Aiyegbami Street to Okegbehin Street; Ijede Junction to Oke-Oyinbo Street; and Igbopa London towards Inowa Street.

While initiating the program, accompanied by her team, Hon. Gbadebo-Alogba personally supervised the installation process, emphasizing the significant impact on community security, particularly during nighttime.

The introduction of solar-powered light poles aims to create safer and more inviting environments for residents.

Hon. Abiodun Ajayi, the Supervisor for works, affirmed the council’s commitment to extending the initiative to cover additional major internal streets within the LCDA, ensuring that all residents benefit from improved infrastructure and heightened safety measures.

The initiative spearheaded by Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba stands as a proactive measure towards sustainable development and fostering a secure living environment for the community.
