Miss Azzizat Rufai, a first-class graduate of Lagos State University (LASU), was honored and celebrated by the Executive Chairman, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba.
Miss Azzizat Rufai’s outstanding academic achievement marked her as one of the top graduates from LASU, with a remarkable cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 4.74.
Her excellence earned her the title of the overall best student in the Ikorodu Division.
In a heartfelt ceremony held at the Ijede LCDA secretariat, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba awarded Miss Azzizat Rufai a cash prize of One Million Naira.
This gesture of recognition and support for academic achievement showcased the council’s commitment to fostering educational excellence within the local community.
Speaking to reporters from the Ikorodu News Network (INN), Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba reiterated her administration’s dedication to promoting educational excellence in Ijede LCDA.
She emphasized that Miss Azzizat’s success should serve as an inspiration for other students and encouraged them to view her accomplishment as a motivation to excel.
“Azzizat’s success should be recognized as a yardstick, and funding her is a statement to other learners, substantiating our agenda to benefit them if they make this region proud academically,” said Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba.
She further expressed her hopes that Miss Azzizat’s achievements would continue to shine as a beacon of inspiration for other students.
Miss Azzizat Rufai, overwhelmed with gratitude, described the council’s support as a source of encouragement.
The biochemistry graduate expressed her appreciation to the council and Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba for their unwavering support in her educational journey.
