Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, the Executive Chairman of Ijede LCDA, has showered praises on Hon. Babajimi Benson for his exceptional commitment to the betterment of their community.

In a remarkable event held today, on Monday, the newly refurbished Obun-Ale Market was officially inaugurated, accompanied by the completion of a state-of-the-art vocational center in Igbe-Ogunro.

The Obun-Ale Market, which had fallen into disrepair over the years, was a concern for residents due to its deteriorated infrastructure hindering smooth business operations and affecting the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of Ijede LCDA.

Hon. Babajimi Benson’s dynamic leadership therefore brought a swift transformation within a mere three months, as the market underwent a remarkable transformation, boasting major structural upgrades including interlocking, roofing, plumbing, painting, and even solar light installations, all facilitated by the dedicated efforts of Hon. Benson and his team.

This revitalization promises to breathe new life into the daily business activities of the market and enhance the convenience of goods and services for the residents of Ijede LCDA.

Reacting to this, Hon. Gbadebo-Alogba expressed her gratitude to her esteemed counterpart, Hon. Benson, for his unwavering dedication to the well-being of their constituents.

She highlighted how Hon. Benson’s consistent efforts have consistently brought smiles to the faces of the people he represents.

In her statement, Hon. Gbadebo-Alogba said, “My commitment to my people is paramount, and the unwavering support of Hon. Babajimi Benson has been instrumental in realizing this project.

“I am committed to ensuring that I live up to the legacy left by my predecessors and family, and I pledge to uphold the high standards they have set.”

In addition to the market renovation, the commissioning also marked the completion of a modern vocational center in Igbe-Ogunro, which will be managed by the Department of Women’s Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.

It was gathered that this facility would empower women and uplift the community by providing valuable vocational training and skills enhancement programs.

The ceremony was attended by a representative of Hon. Babajimi Benson, Mr. Deen Sanwo-Ola, who conveyed the legislator’s enthusiasm for the positive changes taking place in Ijede LCDA.

Also, local dignitaries, residents, and other stakeholders who celebrated the transformative impact of these initiatives on their community, were in attendance.
