IBILE Youth Academy Changed Our Mentality, Says Lagos Youth Ambassador
The Lagos State Youth Ambassador, Funmilayo Akannishelle, has commended the Lagos State Government for providing the IBILE Youth Academy Leadership platform.
She stated this while speaking during a visit to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the Lagos House, Marina, alongside other divisional ambassadors, on Thursday.
The Youth Ambassador said that the programme has changed their mentality which in turn made them better persons, adding that the training has encouraged them to work towards building a Nigeria the youths would be proud of.
Akannishelle said other states should emulate the IBILE Youth Academy Leadership programme initiative as it will go a long way in improving and instilling leadership qualities in the youths.
“The IBILE Youth Academy has changed our mentality. It has made us better people and we can now go to our communities with positive charge. We all need to improve our country. We should be patriotic and be proud of our country,” she said.
Akannishelle is a graduate of the School of Communication, Lagos State University. She is also a former President of Communication Students Association (COSA), LASU Chapter.
Meanwhile, the ambassadors were presented to the Governor by the Lagos State Commissioner for Youths and Social Development, Mr Olusegun Dawodu.
Others present were Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth, Mr Saheed Akanbi, Youth Director, Mr Femi Adetoye and Assistant Youth Director, Mrs. Rasheedat Umar.
