Hundreds of cultists renounce cultism in Ikorodu

The cultists renounced membership of their various fraternities at an event which had the Police Commissioner, Imohimi Edgar

It was a carnival like atmosphere as cultists numbering about a thousand came together to sheath their swords in Lagos earlier today BlackBox Nigeria can confirm.

It was the shun cultism event in celebration of the 100days in office of the Ijede LCDA Chairman, Comrade Salisu Fatiu and his executive in council.

Cult members from rival fraternities especially the Aiye cult, Black Axe cult and the KK cult group joined in the rally organised by Ijede LCDA in Ikorodu with the main message being peace. The youths marched in major streets of the LCDA with the Chairman and his team preaching peace to all while declaring that there is no more war amongst them.
The train also moved to Ijede and Egbin royal palaces where the towns’ monarchs further advised the youths to shun violence.

The grand finale came when the renouncing cultists stormed the LCDA secretariat to hand over their amunitions to the Police.
On hand to receive the restive youths was the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgar who disclosed that the process to rehabilitate them and prepare them for reintegration into the society has begun. CP Edgar also received the animations raging from AK-47s, Pump Action rifles, Axes and Machetes which were formally used by the renounced cultists.

Other dignitaries present at the event were Honourable Babajimi Benson, Honourable Solaja, Yeye Gbadebo, Monarchs, Community leaders, APC chieftains and many others.
