Taiwo Ademola Ajayi is not your ordinary IT student, but  also a community leader, a visionary, and a passionate advocate for education.

He has been instrumental in the construction of a modern 13-classroom building with offices, store, toilet, and fire fighting installation at Temidire Primary School in Ikorodu, a project that will benefit over 1300 students.

Ajayi, who is a member of the Ikorodu Ambassador Groups, first visited the school a year ago and was appalled by the poor condition of the facilities.

He decided to take action and pleaded with the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board to allocate funds and resources for the renovation of the school.

He also monitored the progress of the work and shared updates with the public on social media.

Today, the school is almost complete and ready to welcome the students in a conducive learning environment.

Ajayi said he was happy and satisfied with the outcome and thanked the board and the engineers for keeping their promise.

He therefore urged his fellow Ikorodu residents to join him in making a difference in their community, regardless of their positions or backgrounds.

“I personally am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community and as long as I live, it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can to see my community improve,” he said.

He added, “We don’t have to hold key positions before we can make a difference in our community, we the people are the change all we have to do is just to have a leap of faith and believe change begins with us.”
