The kidnappers behind the gruesome murder of Hon. Justice Azuka, a prominent member of house representative in Anambra, have been arrested after allegedly withdrawing a huge sum of N100 million from his account before taking his life.
Chude Nnamdi, a Human Right Activist and Social Media Influencer made a revelatory information known to the public through his verified X handle on Friday.
According to reports, the terrible incident unfolded on December 26, 2024, when Hon. Justice Azuka was kidnapped by a gang of six young men, all under the age of 30.
They reportedly shot him twice in the head after draining a huge sum of money from his account. The gang’s criminal activity was made possible with the help of a nurse from Asaba, who allegedly assisted them in withdrawing the N100 million.
The nurse, who runs a pharmacy in Asaba, has since been arrested, and her business has been sealed by authorities. Investigations revealed that the gang’s operations were further aided by a native doctor who lives in Asaba. The native doctor, who was believed to be preparing charms for the criminals, has also been arrested alongside the nurse.
The leader of the gang is said to have been living with the native doctor inside his shrine, where he reportedly received spiritual assistance to carry out his crimes.
The suspects, all of whom are residents of Asaba except for one who lives in Oba, confessed that they had a pattern of killing their victims after extracting money from them.
Law enforcement authorities found the bodies of three other individuals alongside Hon. Justice Azuka’s body. The six young men involved in the crime have all been apprehended, with their arrest being hailed as a significant victory in the fight against violent crime and kidnapping in the region.
However, attempts by the police to traced the verification of Nnamdi’s claim is unsuccessful as no official report is yet to be released from the law enforcement agency.
