By How Fayemi Smuggled Giadom To See Buhari In Presidential Villa
Fresh updates reaching BlackBox Nigeria has it that Governor Kayode Fayemi went extra mile to make sure that factional Acting Chairman, Victor Giadom had an audience with President Muhammadu Buhari.
Reports in the media had it that Governor Fayemi was at Presidential villa on Tuesday in company of Giadom as he attempted to see President Buhari but the effort was frustrated. The Ekiti State Governor however attempted earlier on Wednesday and it was successful as the outcome of the meeting had the President to recognise Giadom as the ruling party’s Acting National Chairman.
It will be recalled that internal leadership crisis has been rocking the ruling party since the Federal High Court sacked its National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole thereby throwing the party in a state of quagmire as different factions lay claim to the vacant position. First to be rumoured to be new Acting Chairman is the current Deputy National Chairman (South West), Senator Abiola Ajimobi, before Port Harcourt politician, Chief Victor Giadom moved into the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja to resume duties.
The recognition of the Giadom faction of the party by President Buhari shows that Ajimobi’s faction do not have the backing of the President.
