How 4-year-old boy saved veteran gospel act, Buchi from kidnappers
But for the insistence of a 4-year-old boy, veteran gospel musician, Buchi would have been a victim of kidnap years ago, the Mma Mma crooner has revealed.
It happened that some years ago, Buchi was a guest performer in a Northern state and after his delivery, he made to leave the venue back to his hotel room. Unknown to him kidnappers had laid a trap for him disguising as his protocol details and ready to take him to the hotel.
He was almost getting in the car when the young boy held on to his leg so he had to stop and pick up the child to take photos. It was in the process of doing this that his real protocol drove in which made the impostors run off.
“I put my left leg into the car and was about to lift my right leg but somebody held me. I looked down; it was a boy of about 4 – 5 years old holding onto my leg. I couldn’t get into the car; neither could I shake him off.”
The delay however infuriated the impostors who said, “Man of God, don’t you know the security situation in this place, let us go! It’s dangerous here. We need to leave,” but, I couldn’t drop the child as he held onto my shirt.”
It was later discovered that they were up to no good when they sped off at the arrival of the real protocol team.
