Guinness World Records responds with eagerness to review Hilda Baci’s remarkable feat

Guinness World Records has issued an official statement commending Nigerian chef Hilda Baci for her extraordinary accomplishment in the culinary world.

Baci, hailing from Akwa Ibom State, has broken the record for the longest cooking time by an individual, clocking an astounding 100-hour duration.

This achievement surpasses the previous record set by Indian chef Lata Tondon in 2019, who completed the task in 87 hours, 45 minutes, and 00 seconds.

In their statement, published on their official website, Guinness World Records expressed enthusiasm over Baci’s record-breaking endeavor.

The statement read; “She’s hoping to snap up the record title for the longest cooking marathon (individual) which currently belongs to Lata Tondon (India) with a time of 87 hr 45 min.

“Hilda began cooking on Thursday and continued through to Monday, reportedly whipping up 55 recipes and more than 100 meals in a whopping 100-hour stint.

“Officials on our records team look forward to reviewing the evidence and hope to be able to verify Hilda’s efforts as a new record very soon.”

According to the British reference body, one of its spokespersons said they “are looking forward to receiving the evidence for its Records Management Team to review before we can confirm the record is official.”
