Guaranty Trust Holding Company Plc (GTCO) has announced plans for the 16th edition of its annual Autism Conference, with free consultations for individuals on the autism spectrum and their families.
The conference, themed “Acceptance in Action: From Family to Classroom to Workplace to Public Spaces,” will hold on July 27 and 28 at the Muson Centre, Lagos.
According to the company, the programme aims to promote autism acceptance and inclusion by providing developmental support, professional guidance, and learning opportunities for families, caregivers, educators and healthcare professionals.
Following the conference, free one-on-one consultations with medical and developmental specialists will take place from July 29 to August 1 at the Adeyemi Bero Auditorium, Alausa Secretariat, Ikeja.
GTCO said this year’s event will feature expert-led discussions and workshops covering early intervention, behavioural therapy, communication strategies, inclusive education, and caregiver support.
The programme will also be held in Ghana, beginning with a workshop on August 4 at the University of Professional Studies, Accra, followed by free consultations from August 5 to 8.
Speaking on the initiative, GTCO Group Chief Executive Officer, Segun Agbaje, said the programme has, over the past 16 years, helped families navigate the challenges associated with autism while advancing inclusion across society.
He said the 2026 theme calls on families, educators, employers and policymakers to move beyond awareness by creating environments where people on the autism spectrum can thrive at home, in schools, workplaces and public spaces.
Agbaje added that building an inclusive society requires collective action, noting that GTCO remains committed to providing the expertise and resources needed to improve opportunities for individuals living with autism.
