Non-governmental Organization, Child Protection Network, has called for the arrest of popular skitmaker, Abdullahi Maruff Adisa (Trinity Guy), for the alleged exposure of children to sexual content in a recent skit.
The NGO, in a statement, accused the Abdullahi over a sexually indecent video which saw the skitmaker inducing a young yoruba girl to describe the colour of his manhood.
While condemning the video content, the NGO cited that the act is against the section 11, 32, 35, and 36 of the Child Rights Act 2003, the 2015 Cyber Crime Act, as well as the Child Rights and Violence Against Persons Prohibition Laws of Oyo state.
“Our attention was drawn to an online harmful publication concerning a sexually indecent video made by one Mr. Abdullahi Maruff Adisa, a comedy skit maker popularly known as ‘TRINITYGUY’. In the video, the skit maker was seen speaking to a young girl in Yoruba language while asking and leading the young girl to describe the shape and colour of his penis.
“Child Protection Network Nigeria condemns this video in its totality and calls for immediate removal of the indecent and harmful video from the social media. We demand immediate public apology to the young girl and many other young girls whose dignity as children and human being have been affected by this video.” The statement read.
Aside calling on the skitmaker to issue public apology to the victim, the group also called for the arrest and prosecution of Abdullahi.
“Recognizing that the video content specifically violates the provisions of sections 11, 32, 35 and 36 of the Child Rights Act 2003, the CyberCrime Act 2015, as well as the we call on the Nigeria Police Oyo State Command to arrest, investigate and prosecute Mr. Adisa for engaging a child in such indecent act, involving a child in the production of harmful publication and exploiting this young girl for his own selfish and monetary benefits.” The statement read further.
Abdullahi is renown for harping on unsuspected people, playing intriguing pranks on them while recording and sharing the content on his social media handles.
