By Grateful Jimi Benson Shares Food Items, Recounts On Ordeals After Two YEars In Office
It was a time to reflect on past years on Saturday, July 29th for Hon Babajimi Benson of Ikorodu Federal Constituency when he gathered the elderly, needy and vulnerable in his community as he distributed food items.
The lawmaker also used the moment to pray for the repose of the 8 lawmakers who have died in the National Assembly and also prayed for the quick recovery of ailing President, Muhammadu Buhari who has been out of the country for over two months.
The food items were distributed to 300 constituents who were selected across the Division through an arm of his iCare Foundation, the iCare Foodbank supervised and monitored by Mr Abdulazeez Yusuf Atebo and his team members.
Speaking at the event, the Director General of iCare Foundation, Mayor Deen Sanwoola reiterated the commitment of Hon Benson to always be handy in giving back to the community as he continues to represent their interests in the Green Chambers. He also revealed that the second phase of the food distribution will be done before the upcoming Eid-il-Kabir Festival.
Last weekend’s distributions were for the Stream 2 of Batch C, meaning the iCare Foundation Foodbank program has run for 8 times consecutively.
