Grand reception for Lagos Assembly aspirant Bolowotan as he takes consultative tour to Ikorodu West

Ahead of the primaries of the All Progressives Congress (APC) slated for May, an aspirant for the Lagos State House of Assembly seat in Ikorodu Constituency I, Toyin Gafaar Bolowotan has commenced a consultative tour to wards in the jurisdiction.

Bolowotan, who is the Director General of the Lagos State Sports Commission (LSSC), accompanied by his team, paid a visit to three wards in Ikorodu West LCDA, on Monday.

His first stop was at Ward B in the Majidun Ogolonto area of the LCDA where he met a grand reception by elated party faithfuls as shouts of “Bolowotan” rented the air when he arrived the meeting.

The LSSC boss seized the opportunity to present his letter of intent to ward executives and political leaders in the ward drawn from the two dominant groups within the APC — Justice Forum and Mandate.

At Ward D in Ajaguro, Bolowotan was received by party members and leaders in the area who spoke highly of his character and pedigree, saying he is the most qualified person to represent to Ikorodu Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly. Prayers were also offered for his late mother, Alhaja Awawu Abeje Gafaar who recently passed away at the age of 94.

In his brief remarks, he highlighted his achievements as the Director General of the Lagos State Sports Commission which he intends to replicate as a state lawmaker, while appealing for the support of the party to clinch the ticket.

“We have been able to leverage our network to facilitate projects to Ikorodu. This is just a tip of the iceberg. Support us to get to the House and we will do more for you,” Bolowotan said.

To wrap up the tour, the LSSC boss and his team visited Ward E in Isawo to address another group of party faithfuls as well as ward executives.
