The City of Ibadan has been thrown in a bad mood as the magnificent edifice named, The Music House has been destroyed on the orders of the Oyo State Government, BlackBox Nigeria reports.

Sources in the know disclosed that the building was brought to ruins very early Sunday morning after the State government under the leadership of Governor Abiola Isiaka Ajimobi. Earlier last week, it was learnt that the State Government did serve Fresh FM privately owned by Gospel music Maestro, Yinka Ayefele a 3day demolition notice.

BBN gathered from a source in Ibadan that the media outfit responded to the demolition notice and also got a Court order to stay hold on the demolition act, but the State Government went in the middle of the night to carry out the planned act.

Sympathisers at the pitiable sight they woke up to this morning…

Oyo State Government in it’s notice stated that the building failed some quality control checks even though it has been in use since 2016, but it was debunked by a Management staff of the media outfit that the construction site was first approved in 2008. BBN also gathered that the State Bureau of Physical Planning and Development Control issued a request for the planning approval of the building in it’s letter dated, August 17, 2017 before a reminder was sent a year later, which came with the 3-day demolition notice after it failed to comply by providing required documents.

However, unconfirmed reports has it that Fresh FM came under threat after it aired a certain content against the present administration of the State.

Since it started broadcasting, Fresh FM has risen as a radio station of choice as it has successfully hosted top personalities in the State, including Governor Ajimobi.
