[tps_header][/tps_header]Ghetto Light football club Officially Launched their match day and training kits ahead of the 2021 season in the Chairman’s office within the local council Secretariat on Monday afternoon.
The Chairman of Odi Olowo Ojuwoye LCDA Hon. Rasaq Ajala and his vice Hon. Seyi Jakande anchors the official launching ceremony.
Other local government functionaries such as the Council Treasure, Mr Shuaib Badmus, Supervisor for Youth and Sports, Hon. Ifeoluwa Jimoh, Supervisor for Health, Hon. Rafeeu Obanle, Hon. Asua and Hon. Adeolu Richard Councilors representing ward B1 and C2 respectively.
The chairman in his speech admonishes the players to show equal zeal in their academics and also ensure that they do not fall prey to negative vices.
He further urged them to be good ambassadors of the local government and that the environment should not impede their progress noting that he is also a product of the Ghetto and now he is the chairman of the council.
Not left out of the ceremony were the Special advisers to the chairman Hon. Haruna, Hon. Faith and Hon. Abass.
The workers union representative for the Administrative and Human Resource cadre in the local government Com. Olatokunbo Adigun was also present at the launch.
Functionaries of the chairman and Vice, Mr Tunde, Iya Ife, Mr Kayode Odediya, Mr Johnson Adeyemi and Mrs Adeoti were also included in the frame.
The club launched a green jersey as the official training jersey and a dark blue jersey with the club logo moved from the traditional badge position to the middle and a star in front and 5 stars behind depicting the club as a 6 star club.
The under 15 category of the club will be wearing the Jersey for the first time when they take on FC Phoenix of Apapa Iganmu in the Prince Gas cup on Friday.
