Lagos State Government, has announced a 90-day amnesty period for property owners across different parts of the state.
The Lagos State governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has permitted residents to obtain planning permits without paying statutory penal fees, in order to relieve measure of the current economic hardship.
Applicants are required to submit necessary documents through district offices of the Lagos State Physical Planning Permit Authority (LASPPA) in the 57 local government areas of Lagos State, as well as the Electronic Planning Permit (EPP) office.
The amnesty applies to individuals with the following documents: title document/proof of ownership, survey plan, as-built architectural drawings, structural, electrical, and mechanical drawings (where applicable), non-destructive integrity test report (where applicable), letter of structural stability and indemnity (where applicable), land use planning analysis report, tax compliance certification, and other relevant supporting documents.
Additionally, the Lagos State Government urges owners of completed buildings in the state to make use of the amnesty program and regularize their developments by obtaining planning permits (building plan approvals)on their existing building .
Also, a 5% discount will be applied to payment completed within ten (10) working days of bill issuance.
