Fuji icon, K1’s wife is dead
Fuji Legend, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, also known as K1, has lost his ex-wife, Alhaja Hafsat Ajoke Anifowoshe after a brief illness.
According to a family source who revealed to the press, the deceased had been battling with an undisclosed illness before she gave up the ghost at age 65.
It was reported that the deceased gave birth to Honourable Idayat Anifowoshe, special assistant on special duties to the Chairman of Lagos Island East Local Council Development Authority, Dr. Mayor Muibi Alade Folawiyo.
Her remains were interred at the Abari Cemetery in Lagos and buried according to Islamic rites.
In a statement of condolence, Olushoga Olushola, Chief Press Secretary to the LIELCDA chairman, announced her demise and described Alhaja Hafsat as a paragon of virtue.
“We know it hurts so deeply to lose a loving mother and dependable partner,” the statement partly reads.
“You must, however, take solace in the time your mother spent on earth and her good service to God and humanity”.
“Rest assured that our thoughts are with you, and our prayers are that you, the children, and all those she left behind will find the strength to continue where she stopped. May her soul find eternal rest,” he added.
