Goals from Griezmann, Mbappe, Pogba and an own goal by Mandzukic have delivered the 2018 FIFA World Cup to France, making it their 2nd in the history of the tournament.

The Final match kick started with an own goal by Croatian striker, Mandzukic after he mistakenly nodded a free kick from Griezmann into the back of the net. The game was then balanced by Ivan Perisic in the 28th minute.

Before the end of first half, Antoine Greizmann converted a spot kick to goal after Argentine referee, Nesto Pitana spent several minutes in front of the screen as he was communicating with the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) to decide on the foul committed by Croatia’s first goalscorer, Perisic.

France however scored two more goals in the 2nd half as the duo of Paul Pogba and Kylian Mbappe managed to score a goal each which then increased the scores to 4-1, until Mandzukic caught France’s goalie, Lloris off guard to make the score line 4-2, which later ended the match.

The last time France senior team won the prestigious World Cup was 20years ago, 1998, which it played host to then.
