Former Student Leaders Appointed as Senior Special Assistants by Governor Sanwo-Olu

The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has appointed four former student union leaders as Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) during a collaborative session with student leaders and stakeholders in the state.
The interactive meeting, held at the Adéyemí Bero Auditorium in Alausa, Ikeja on Tuesday, focused on strategies to bolster support for indigenous scholarships and marginalized groups within the educational sector.
The newly appointed SSAs include Eniola Opeyemi, Kayode Samuel, Giwa Moore, and Adeola Adewunmi.
The Governor officially confirmed the appointments in a statement shared on his official X handle on Tuesday, stating, “As part of my commitment to youth development, I have also appointed four former Students Union leaders as Senior Special Assistants.”
During the meeting, Governor Sanwo-Olu pledged to extend the scholarship scheme to include physically challenged students and assured an increase in the existing bursary. This move underscores the state’s dedication to fostering youth development and inclusivity within educational initiatives.
