Former LASUSU President, Optimist Becomes President of Young Lawyer’s Forum, Ikeja

Former LASUSU president Barr. Nurudeen, Temilola Yusuf(A. K. A. OPTIMIST) Emerged President of Young Lawyer’s Forum, Ikeja Branch.

The Young Lawyers’ Committee is one of the Committees of the NBA-SBL which facilitates the professional development of Nigerian Commercial Lawyers with the aim of raising the standard of business law practice in Nigeria.

Optimist whom is a graduate of law from Lagos State University and the former lasusu president. He contested and won the number one seat of the LASU student and emerges the LASUSU president. As the president of Lagos State University Students’ Union in 2014he championed the reversal of LASU fee after 4years when students were dropping out in drives. This incredible fit was achieved with the cooperation of students and the optimal use of the social media. He embarked on aggressive public sanitization that formed the #SAVELASU, maximized the social media and developed a proposal to convince the then Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN) to revert to old rate of N25,000, thereby making University education affordable and accessible to thousands of Nigerian Youths.
