By Former Lagos Governor, Ambode gets chef arrested for theft

Immediate past Lagos Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode is in the news but not for political reasons.
Mr Ambode is said to have involved the Directorate of Security Service (DSS), to effect the arrest of his former chef, Victor Abayomi for theft. He is alleging that the cook stole valuable items worth millions of Naira from his residence in Ikoyi.
Victor Abayomi according to the DSS committed the crime alongside others who are yet to be apprehended and fled the state. He was eventually arrested somewhere in Osun state.
The embattled chef has now been dragged before a magistrate court sitting in Yaba on a two count charge of conspiracy and theft.
Joshua Babalola, the legal officer representing the DSS, on Monday informed the court that Abayomi and his accomplices were arrested at Old Garage, Molorundo local government area, Osun state where they absconded to.
The legal officer further alleged that Abayomi’s actions contravened sections 287 and 411 of the criminal law of Lagos State, 2015.
The chief magistrate adjourned the case to April 8 for further investigation and presentation of facts.
