By Former Governor And Lawmaker, Orji Uzor Kalu Bags 12yrs Imprisonment For Fraud
Former 2-time Governor and Abia North Senatorial District lawmaker Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has been sentenced to 12yrs imprisonment for N7.6bn fraud.
Senator Orji served as Governor of Abia State between 1999 and 2007 and currently serving as a lawmaker in the Upper Chamber of the 9th Assembly.
He was sentenced in the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos some moment ago. The ruling was presided over by Justice Mohammed Doris who found Senator Orji, his company; Slok Nigeria Limited and Udeh Udeogu who was the Director of Finance and Accounts Chief Accountant guilty of the fraud charges.
