In a recent development, Hon. Adeola Muhydeen Jokomba, the former Chairman of Ikorodu North Local Council Development Area (LCDA), has been officially appointed as the Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State.
This appointment comes as he steps in to replace his fellow Ikorodu resident and former legislator, Hon. Olanrewaju Sunmi Odesanya, who now assumes the role of Special Adviser for DAWN Commission & South West Integration.
The decision to appoint Jokomba as the State APC Secretary was ratified by the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), the top decision-making body within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State.
Having completed two terms as Council Chairman, Jokomba had set his sights on a new role in the build up to the 2023 general elections by vying to represent the Ikorodu Constituency 1 at the Lagos State House of Assembly, which did not come to fruition.
The new role as Secretary to the ruling APC is considered a compensation for his loyalty to the party..
